It is purely a mixture of Old and new time which you will witness in this city, on roads and in monuments. A Walk into the Secret Society of Street Art & food tour
Away from mad city rush - here's a treat to your five senses which offers breathtaking view of rare street art, lots of experiments with local food with conversations, pictures and memories. I'll take you into the seen unseen lanes of India's largest open-air art district in Lodhi Colony. We will walk through some of the most iconic & colorful wall murals (oh also hidden ones that are secretly placed in backlanes and are very dark, profound & poetic) by the artists from round the world! I will share with you the backstory of each wall art descriptively that will leave you awestruck completely :) Our experience would be divided into 3 parts: Part 1 : Exploring Singaporean Lane & its 10 wall murals understanding their back stories + a walk through a hidden lane that has some controversial poetic quotes written behind a factory wall of about 50 feet long Part 2 : An insider visit to Delhi's first Ice Cream store to see how it looks like & will then enjoy some of most delectable Indian ice creams! Part 3 : Seeing preparation of a gala South Indian meal of four to five dishes & feasting on it! Wall murals include The Secret Passage, The wall of life & death, A wall painted by transgender community, Indian streets and flea market, a feminist wall and more. Pls msg if you dont find your suitable time listed! It is a child friendly tour. Check more info on instagram @locally.delhi Other things to note Its a very experiential tour and you would go back happy high from wherever you come! Please keep good 2-3 hours for this walk-cum-meet up. I'd try my best to show you around the new and old murals. Imperial King's Life - Dream Dance Dine
Live a King's life! Welcome to the palace of Dharampura where we would drink, eat, see dances & celebrate like a Mughal King! This is a old haveli (Palace) that gives you the opportunity to get a feel of the Mughal era through the architectural beauty of the Haveli teamed up with the amenities of the present era. We will walk through the Wedding Bazzar looking at some colorful shops flaunting wedding decor to reach to this astonishing haveli. A grand multi-foliated arched gateway entrance leads you to the central courtyard. We will look at some of black & white large pictures from late 50's and I'll share with your the story of families who have stayed here. We then start with appetizers & drinks and then I take you to corners of this magnificent palace. We mount it's 3 floors (or could use the lift) to see beauty of each floor to finally each the terrace. The view of the terrace has a grand view of Old Delhi, its shops, streets & flea! A sight to remember! Soon the balconies of this haveli would fill with music and then begins the Kathak dance - one of the eight major forms of Indian classical dance, performed by trained dancers in the gallery. We then head to dinner and try some of Mughal dishes that would leave you asking for more! We would then take a look at the handicraft, jewellery and bookshops in the lower ground floor. Of course tonnes of pictures all through
