We will meet you at our facilities in Puerto Jimenez at 7 AM, where we will transport you and our gear to a local beach with a coral reef. We will then guide you to various points of interest within the coral reef complex which contains thousands of coral formations. These coral formations are home to a wide variety of brightly-colored fish, marine reptiles, manta rays, crustaceans, eels, and more! The water is only a few meters deep, so our guests all have a clear and close-up view of this spectacular ecosystem. We will break for lunch on the beach prepared by our chef. After lunch, we will guide you to a small pond along the mangroves coast, which are again home to a number of species including birds, reptiles, and other mammals. We will return, then, to the beach where you can explore the waters by Kayak. If you are so inclined, you are also free to snorkel again as well. At the conclusion of the tour, we will return you to our facilities in Puerto Jimenez.
Twenty-five years ago I created the first ever Adventure Trek in the Osa Peninsula – the Corcovado Ring Adventure. I have spent these years exploring the waters off Caño Island, Bajo del Diablo, Mogos Islands, coral reefs of the Golfo Dulce, the mangrove canals of the Sierpe-Terraba Wetland, and more. I am intricately familiar with the best spots to see wildlife, and love to share my passion with tourists who are excited to discover the beauty of Costa Rica.
