At 9:30 starts our walk from Tremezzo, a tipical village on Lake Como in front of Bellagio and Varenna. After visiting Villa Carlotta and its worldwide famous botanic garden, we will walk from Tremezzo to Ossuccio through an antique Roman connection Road, the "Greenway of the Lake" (m 100 altitude difference, about 7 km). We will reach Ossuccio and from there the Comacina Island by boat. Comacina Island is the only one Island of Lake Como, one of the most interesting archaeological sites in northern Italy for the early Middle Ages. The Area, called Zoca de l'Oli for its mild climate, is covered by mediterranean vegetation and olive trees for the production of local oil. At about h 16:00 p.m. starts our return trip to Tremezzo by boat.
I'm a nature lover: I was born and raised Varenna local with a love for the lake and sharing this gorgeous area with visitors. I'm experienced and licensed Nature Hiking Guide, abilitaded AIGAE (LO567), the official italian Association for Nature Hiking Guides. My knowledge of Lake Como as a local make me the perfect candidate to show others the naturals beauty of this area: beautiful villages and botanic gardens, antique routes traveled by wayfarers and poets, traditional restaurants with wine and evo-oil tasting.
