This guided walking tour with pet goats is a great opportunity for your family to connect to nature and animals in a natural setting while getting to know authentic Istria. Accompanied by two young goats we will walk through nature. The goats will be free the entire time and graze and play around us. As the goats are very tame and friendly towards people (including children), petting and hand feeding them will be encouraged throughout the entire experience. For this purpose, I will provide you with treats to feed the goats. This gives you and your family plenty of time to get to know the animals in their natural surroundings away from overcrowded petting zoos. We will walk in a relaxed pace through the southern meadow, follow the beginning of the forest hiking trail, and discover the village's hidden alleys. With meadows and forests surrounding the village, Brgudac offers ideal conditions for a stroll through nature. During our walk I will share Brgudac's history with you and give you an insight into local culture. Be prepared to greet neighbors from the village as we stroll past ruins and weekend-homes. The small group size (1-2 families) gives this experience an intimate and cozy feeling with space to focus on you/your family's preferences without the stress of big crowds. It's a unique opportunity to explore authentic Istrian village life off the beaten path.
I am a huge fan of nature, village life, and animals. Due to that, my love for the Istrian country side, and my Croatian boyfriend I moved to the small but fabulous village of Brgudac (Istria). A big move, as I am originally from Germany. It's where I studied and through teaching discovered my passion for interacting with people while conveying something I care for. For the last couple of years I have visited Brgudac frequently, connected with the locals, and explored its stunning landscapes. I discovered many a hidden magical spot and learned much about the history of the place and its native plants. Living in the country side, I now can finally surround myself with "furry friends". This includes two young, lovable goats as well as a relaxed dog and two playful cats that somehow all grew to be friends.

We will start and finish the walk in front of the historic school building in the lovely village of Brgudac. Located in the Istrian countryside and just on the border to Nature Park Učka, Brgudac surroundings provide lush nature with wild flowering meadows and shady forests. We will explore the historic village, discover a small chapel on the top of a meadow covered hill and see drystone walls hidden in the forest.
