I will take you on a 3 hour cycling tour of the hidden lanes of the Peak District, tucked away from the typical tourist spots. We'll start by meeting in Sheffield, and we'll take a short drive to the edge of the National Park. We'll then start our ride over Ringinglow, and down into the Hope Valley. From there, we'll weave through lanes below Win Hill, down towards Castleton. Fear not, we'll veer quickly away from the crowds and up the Pindale climb and look over this magnificent valley (beyond the cement works!). We'll make our way back via the Abney closed road, before stopping off for coffee and some lunch in Hathersage at one of the best delis in the Peak. After climbing back up the hill to the car, I'll drop you off at your desired location. This ride can be extended to include some of the magical lanes around Tideswell too. As we ride, I'll be able to provide you with some of the history and stories that pepper this majestic landscape, giving you an insight into the creation of the Park, and the different communities that exist within it.
Hi, my name is Pete, and I am a qualified cycling instructor, and cycling enthusiast. I ride my bike throughout the nearby Peak District every week, and around the city of Sheffield. I've been leading rides for the last 2 years with the cycling club I established, and I have travelled extensively on my bike in the UK and beyond. I take part in audax, which is non-competitive cycling events that must be completed in a specific time frame. I am an Airbnb Superhost with my partner, and I love meeting new people from all over the world. I'm particularly excited by showing people the beautiful Peak District which is very close to our home in Sheffield - especially if it's on a bicycle! Even better, showing people the hidden gems away from the crowds is a real treat.
I do have a couple of spare bikes if you don't have one (or can help you hire one), and I can provide a helmet, spare inner…
We'll cycle through the lost lanes of the Peak District in 3 hours. Over Ringinglow and down in the Hope Valley, exploring the lanes below, then rising up above Castleton, and through Abney. Into Hathersage, we'll have coffee and lunch, then back up the hill to Ringinglow.
最多3人參加，年齡須滿18歲。 Although we will be mainly riding on small lanes, we may have to cut across on slightly busier roads. It won't be for long, but you should be comfortable riding on the road with cars.
Bicycle (if not, I have a couple of spares or I can help you hire one)
If you don't have a bicycle with you, get in touch and I may be able to provide one for you. Don't worry about bringing a pump or spare inner tubes - I can provide those (unless you're particularly attached to yours!). It may be useful to bring a jacket, and comfy clothes for riding.
