I will pick you up at your accommodation in Panama City and after 1 hour we will be at the Chagres National Park. Once at the port by the Chagres River, friendly Embera villagers will take us in a traditional canoe in the Chagres river, the main source of water for the Panama Canal. We will leave the boat at one shore of the river where we will start the hike in a real jungle trail, this is a walking over dirt and/or mud crossing a creek a couple of times to a hidden waterfall where we will stay for a while, then we will hike back to the canoe and head to the village where you will be welcomed by the community. There we will have fruits and lunch while the nocó (chief) share with us about their way of life. This time is complemented by traditional music and dance. Finally, we will go back to the port and then rest in the car while you enjoy the way back to your accomodation in Panama City.
Delicious traditional Embera lunch with fish and plantains or yucca. Dessert of fresh fruits in season.
Cold non-alcoholic drinks or soda and water bottles.

Bring either aqua shoes, hiking shoes, sandals or sport shoes (expect to get wet during the hike)
The trail is in the jungle (as is) so this experience might be challenging o not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
