I will pick you up at your accommodation in Panama City or meeting point if desired and after 1 hour by car we will be at the Chagres National Park. Once at the port by the Chagres River, friendly Embera villagers will take us in a traditional canoe by the Chagres river, the main source of water for the Panama Canal. We will leave the boat at one shore of the river where we will the hike begins through a trail in real jungle, this is walking over dirt and/or mud crossing a creek several times to a hidden and pristine waterfall where we will stay about an one hour, then we will hike by the same trail back to the canoe and head to the village where you will be welcomed by the Embera community. There, we will have fruits and lunch while the nocó (chief) share with us about their way of life inside a traditional huts without walls to allow air circulation. This time is complemented by a performance of their traditional music and dance. Finally, we will go back to the port and then rest in the car while you enjoy the way back to your accomodation in Panama City.
