We will explore some of the most beautiful headlands and beaches along the northern New South Wales coast. Just a stone's throw from the Gold Coast, these areas are rugged and untouched with very few tourists. Our first stop is Cabarita, my home town and a favourite for surfing and swimming. We will take a short stroll up the headland for fantastic views and photo opportunities. If you'd like, we can stop for coffee in the small beachside town. Next we will visit Fingal, a small river- and beach-side town boasting a stunning headland with a small lighthouse and spectacular views over the ocean towards Cook Island. The headland was formed by lava flow from the now extinct Tweed Volcano and the basalt and andesite rock formations here are unique and stunning. If we're lucky, we might spot some dolphins playing in the water below. If you'd like, we can stop here for a picnic with a view. Lastly, you can choose to stop at a final photo location either under a large jetty overlooking the sea; or at Point Danger overlooking Duranbah, a famous surfing location.
