We will meet at a predetermined location in Sedona/Village of Oak Creek, then will discuss camera settings and plans. Then we will head out to shoot. We may shoot at a parking lot without hiking in to the spot or hike into a trail. After that, we will start shooting the Milky Way for about an hour. Participants are welcome to ask any questions while shooting. After done shooting, we will head back and I will go over how to process the photos taken using Lightroom and Photoshop. This will last about total 2 hours. Please note that this is for beginners and intermediates, and more advanced techniques will not be taught. If you’re interested in more advanced shooting and processing techniques, please feel free to contact me! If you do not see a date when you’d like to participate, please feel free to contact me. If you’re interested in learning how to shoot startrail photos, please feel free to contact me!
I am an artist/photographer specializing in landscapes and night sky photography. I spend most of my time shooting in Sedona, northern Arizona, and southern Utah. My passion also includes teaching others what I love to do and help them learn. Sedona and northern Arizona are known for night skies to some professional photographers. However, many visitors do not recognize that. I’d love to show them how amazing the night sky is in the area.

However, the hike will be short and no longer than a quarter of a mile. The location will have dark night skies and red rocks as a background. Participants will receive a message regarding exact location where we will meet beforehand. Please feel free to contact me for ?
