Upon arrival at the villa, enjoy a refreshing cocktail. Chef Sandy will then explain the menu in detail. The chef will then present you a large selection of local fresh herbs used in our cuisine, you may even taste some in their actual forms. Then Chef explains kitchen safety - how to handle the various knives properly - - to secure your chopping on the table to avoid slipping while you are preparing/chopping ingredients. Guests will learn how to peel vegetables properly avoiding large waste. Get introduced to local spices and produces and meats. Under Chef watch full eyes, you will chop and slice vegetables and meats properly and at right angles. Slices bananas and prepare them for dessert. You will discover that Mauritian cuisine requires different utensils, pans, pressure cooker, different dishes need different timing and different levels of heat while cooking. You watch - you discover - you learn - you prepare - you cook - you enjoy a full meal of 7 delicious and exotic Mauritian/creole dishes. Just like we cook at home. A real explosion of aromas, colors, and savors. - Drinks are offered. You then create bananas flambe - your dessert. Enjoy the meal. Chef Sandy will give you her cookbook "A Feast of Mauritius" in English or "Un Chef a la Maison'' in french. And a duly signed certificate.
