We'll start our adventure on the sandy beaches of Inverness, just south of Tomales Bay State Park. We'll spend about 30 minutes getting everyone geared up with kayaks and gear, discuss paddling and boat techniques, and have a safety briefing. We'll then set off northward through the Bay stopping along numerous coves to look for marine and bird life. After about an hour, we'll stop at a secluded beach for a rest before paddling back to Inverness.
Sit on top double kayak, paddle, waterproof paddle jacket, life jacket
We'll visit a number of secluded coves and beaches along Tomales Bay. We will depart from close to Chicken Ranch Beach and paddle by Shell Beach, Pebble Beach, and Heart's Desire Beach. In total we will paddle around 6 miles round-trip, depending on the experience and energy of the group.
While no previous kayaking experience is necessary, being in decent physical condition and comfortable on the water is important. In case of rain or high wind, the experience will be cancelled.
