Absolute magic to begin with as I will guide us through over 200 years of history and food at the world famous St. Lawrence Market, where we will eat some of the foods that put it on the map! Guests get to choose their own lunch, from some world class cuisines on offer inside one of the finest markets on Earth. Options include Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Canadian oysters, Montreal style bagels and more. Meet the vendors, learn the secrets and indulge! You can't start an afternoon in Toronto any better, and i'll be sure to make sure you see the market like no other! Next we will visit buildings not listed on any tourist map and I will take guests back to the early 19th century for some hidden treats from colonial-era Canada! From the Old Town of Toronto, we head towards the Financial District passing and stopping at the whimsical Berczy Park dog fountain. Guests are given a run down on the back stories behind it's creation and design, and public art in Toronto. Skyscrapers suddenly crowd the streetscape and guests learn the lesser known facts about the inner workings of the Canadian economy and the skyscrapers. Explore roaring 20's Toronto, where the Queen stays, skyscrapers made of gold (literally!), and more! We finish with a fully narrated water taxi/ferry journey to the Toronto Islands, where guests return back across on the ferry at their own leisure or together
I am one of the most respected tour guides in modern Toronto. I own and operate the highest ranked walking and history tour company in Toronto, where I offer free, paid and private walking tours throughout the year. I am a legal resident of three countries (United Kingdom, United States and Canada), and was educated in Political Science at the University of South Florida, with a degree in International Relations. I would consider myself very, very well educated in all things North America, pre-Canadian and pre-U.S history, Canadian history, early Toronto history, Canadian laws and of course present day Toronto. You are in safe hands! I take guiding and hosting very seriously and I absolutely love meeting people from all over the world and showing them all the wonders of Toronto, sharing both my and their experiences along the way!

The tour will work with the elements. Toronto can be 40c in the summer and -25c in the winter. The tour will run year round and we will again work with the weather. During the winter we will spend much more time indoors. See the city with a local in a way you'd never be able to alone!
