Basil, the miniature Shetland is the main star of the show! We will begin by grooming his coat, giving him breakfast, cleaning his feet and brushing his mane. We will then take him for a walk around the property collecting some of his favourite healthy snacks (tree branches & plants). And visiting some of his fluffy friends alongside the way - Mooona Lisa the highland cow, Benji the new forrest pony, Bernard the feisty cockerel and AberaLamb Lincoln and WilliLamb Shakespeare the herdwick rams. I advise bringing Wellingtons or boots as the paddocks can be muddy in winter. Following this we will head over to the walled garden for tea and cakes. Or prosecco and nibbles. Basil’s coming too don’t worry! You will also have the opportunity to meet any of the other animals should you wish too, but please let us know ahead of time if there’s any in particular you’d like to meet so we can move them to paddocks nearer the house. We will then take Basil back to his paddock with some goodbye treats and hugs! *MORE DATES AVAILABLE ON REQUEST.* Please enquire if you don’t see the dates you’re looking for.
Hi, I’m Brittany, I’m 23 and by trade I am a professional equine photographer. For as long as I can remember I have always been passionate about caring for and rescuing animals in need. Born into a family’s of horse lovers, horses in particular have been a big part of my life since I was just a year old. I got my first pony (Benji) when I was 11, and we still have him here on the property along with 5 other horses. I believe one of the best ways we can improve the treatment of animals is by allowing people to interact directly with them and educating people on their care. On the property we have more than just horses - we also have a variety of rescued farm animals that includes, cows, sheep, chickens, turkeys, 2 cats, an airdale dog, and a tortoise.
Cupcakes, crisps and a vegetarian pasty.
