This is a fun and delicious way to learn from a professional Chef the techniques and processes involved in preparing one of the most emblematic dishes of Spanish cuisine, the Seafood Paella, all accompanied by a good batch of local wine, sangria and great talk. You're going to be invited to our house, La Casa Gastronómica, a restored 150 year old flat in the heart of the Gothic, a unique place with an incredible atmosphere and a great starting point for an immersion in the flavours of Spanish cuisine. Our Chef Nanda will lead this workshop where all guests are invited to learn step by step how to cook a traditional Seafood Paella, the tricks to prepare a delicious Sangria, and try some delicacies like the Pan Catalan, Jamon Iberico & Serrano, and a variety of wines crafted by small wineries around the region of Catalonia and brought directly to our table by the house's wine connoisseur Rob. This is a hands on experience and everyone will be invited to participate. Some will chop and dice the vegetables while others will help with the mussels and prepare the Sangria. During cooking, we will all take turns, making sure that each one of us have a chance to build up new skills and have a lot of fun. The soundtrack is also part of the experience with a selection of Spanish classics, all with the charm that only a vinyl record player can add to music and life!
I'm a young and passionate Chef, in love with all the joy the world of gastronomy can bring to our lives. My connection with the Spanish cuisine started as a child when my family moved to Cadiz, a small city on the coast of Andaluzia, famous for its seafood tapas and the warm weather throughout the year. That's the birth place of my insatiable apetite for what the culinary world has to offer and where I've had my first experiences inside the kitchen. From there a lot of time has passed, I've moved to Barcelona, then to London, where I could meet and work alongside some great Chefs, and then back to Barcelona where my heart feels at home. Always inside the kitchen, doing what I love the most, taking the heat and cooking with excellence.
