You'll be greeted with herbal tea and a nourishing raw treat ready to equip you with energy for a morning or afternoon of cooking. We'll then get started by discussing the produce we will be cooking with (all locally sourced & mostly organic, some will be homegrown). While I explain the nutritional benefits of these fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds & grains. I will also be giving you advice on how to combine these foods for the best absorption of nutrients. Over the next 4 hours we will cook & create a combination of seasonal dishes including fermented kraut, plant based dressings & sauces, how to cook grains, vibrant vegetables, nourishing salads, coconut dhal & healthy snack options. I'll share with you some secret tips on how to enhance the flavour of simple vegetables for maximum enjoyment when eating! We'll then serve all this up as a delicious, nutrient dense buddha bowl with a glass of local organic wine. I'll eat with you & happily answer any nutrition related questions you have so you feel knowledgeable enough to leave & cook these plant based recipes, and many more, for your family and friends. At the end you will take home with you a recipe brochure with some of the essential recipes for you to begin your own plant based journey.
I am an accredited Nutritionist & passionate plant based cook, with over 5 years experience creating & cooking plant based recipes. I love sharing my knowledge of nutrition with others to show that you can eat beautifully delicious food & it can be good for you too. The South West region of WA has some of the finest produce in the world & I want to demonstrate how to cook it simply & deliciously so you can take away the knowledge to venture on your own vibrant plant based journey.
The cooking class will take place in my large kitchen & dining room. You'll also have the opportunity to visit our garden & see organic fruit trees & vegetables growing.
