What We Cover We go over fundamentals; proper grip, swing technique, footwork positioning, and other key tips. Live Ball During live ball, players engage in numerous exercises that enhance their consistency, shot selection, and pattern recognition. Drills Repetition builds confidence. By repeating a specific shot or action players develop proper muscle memory, enabling them to consistently execute in match play situations. Be prepared to be active and sweat! Competition This is where players showcase their abilities. Players will learn the proper rules, scoring, and basic tactics.
Hello! My name is Tomas, founder of The Hills Tennis - a junior tennis academy based in Newport Beach, CA. Our mission is to provide a personalized training experience to help players develop their skill set and unfold their full potential. Our classes are emphasized around the technical, tactical, physical and mental development of each player. Specific progression drills are developed so that each student understands the correct sequence of successful tennis.
We will be providing racquets, however feel free to bring your own!
Our class will be taking place inside our residential apartment complex which offers a full size gym, pool, jacuzzi, and basket ball courts in addition to the 4 tennis courts.
We HIGHLY recommend you bring shoes specifically for tennis. Aren't running shoes sufficient? Yes, however you run higher chances of experiencing an ankle sprain due to the lack of material support in running shoes.
