Experience the Best of Pittsburgh’s Downtown while being spooked! Get to see outstanding historic landmarks (often beautifully lit up) during the quiet evening hours and learn which spirits lurk in them. This 90 minute tour is offered on select evenings, starting at 5 p.m. Ready to get spooky and scared by some obscure ghost stories?
I followed my husband to Pittsburgh five years ago, and saw the opportunity to reinvent myself. Inspired by Michael's entrepreneurial spirit I decided to offer historical tours through Pittsburgh. Since I earned a Master's Degree in Art and Architectural History, and I used to live in Rome (Italy), Berlin (Germany) as well as New York City (all great places for art + architecture), I though this would be e great fit. So I founded Bike the Burgh Tours first in 2015, and added Walk the Burgh Tours a year and a half later. After two years of doing every tour myself, I found some equally passionate and enthusiastic, local tour guides who love this city and also strive for excellence. We love to show off our city, we love our job, and we love meeting people from all around the world! Come join us while exploring the Burgh!
Heinz History Center, the city's biggest history museum that apparently is haunted; the old Union Station, a grandiose building that also hosts a ghost; the Federal courthouse where the soul of a former judge is living now; the County courthouse + jail with the best ghosts ever; the oldest still operating hotel in town with over 600 rooms, some murder stories; the oldest graveyard with 2,000 dead bodies - and much more!
