We start our tour everyday by paddling out in to the back water channels trying to get a view of the local marine life such as manatees and dolphins. From a safe distance we will hang out for a bit and observe their interactions with one another. After an hour or so of this we will then head in to the Lido Key mangrove tunnels. These tunnels form a creek like passageway that winds through the nature park. The water is shallow and clear and we will be able to observe creatures such as jellyfish, crabs and fish. We will go down two or three of these winding passages where you will forget that you are half close to a downtown city center. You feel like you are in a remote jungle in this kayak adventure.
I have always had a love for the water. In Indiana i swam competitively just to be in the water in the winter. I moved to Florida to be able to work on the water year round getting to do what I love and share my passion with guests. I started my journey by attending school to obtain my 100 ton captains license. I found kayaking and paddle boarding as a way to be in nature without it being disturbing to the surrounding creatures in their natural habitat. I love the silence of hearing nothing but the water hitting the side of the boats and the birds cruising overhead.
We will provide the kayaks, life vests and dry bags for your tour or rental.
At the south end of Sarasota Bay there is a system of winding mangrove tunnels that are only accessible from a kayak. These tunnels are one of a kind and only found at this park in Sarasota.
最多10人參加，年齡須滿18歲。 We welcome paddlers of all levels. Our guides are top notch and can teach anyone to paddle in just a quick 5 minute lesson before the tour. Everyone is welcome.
