We will meet you at the forest cottage and have the laavu (outdoor Lappish Kitchen) already burning & hot beverages waiting. You will receive your own kuksa (Lappish wooden cup) and sausage cooker (metal sausage skewer that folds into the wooden handle). Both are complimentary for you to keep as a memento of your visit. You can chat & watch the food being prepared or you can be near the ground fire as it is made. All food will come from sealed packages from the local supermarkets such as sausages, cucumbers, tomatoes etc (depending on what is in season). You are more than welcome to bring your own type of sausage or meat to cook as well. You will relax & enjoy the warm fires on the ground or in the laavu. We are then going to eat & chat. You might also like to roast marshmallows which will also come from sealed packages. We can help you get your perfect photos for this event. We can then explore the forest paths & see the frozen lake.

Our location will originate from our winter snow forest & cottage with a traditional laavu near Norvajärvi Lake. If you use a search engine you will find many photos of this place. The cottage is for comfort facilities (WC etc), the laavu is for traditional Lappish grilli experiences & food preparation, the ground fire is for enjoying the sight & warmth of it all & the forest is for exploring with a guide. The lake is for the best photos ever.
We will provide a traditional fireplace for making cooking food & warming drinks. We can guide you about the forest & to the frozen lake. We know food, we know how to be safe & we know this winter world very well.
