Environmental conservation - Learn about the transformation of the natural habitats in our enclosures before and after. - Learn about how the bear waste treatment system works.
I'm the marketing manger for Sanctuary and Programmes for BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh - a project of FOUR PAWS. Here we aim to contribute significantly to end bear farming in Vietnam, and provide a haven for bears – whether confiscated or voluntarily given up by their owners – where they will be cared for properly.
FOUR PAWS Viet is a partner of FOUR PAWS International, an animal welfare organisation with the headquarters in Austria and offices in 15 countries. FOUR PAWS’ vision is a world where humans treat animals with respect, empathy and understanding. With the newly built BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh, FOUR PAWS aims to contribute significantly to end bear farming in Vietnam and provide a haven for bears.
Entrance admission is free. Guided tours are 150.000d/ticket (around $7)
The first construction phase started in December 2016. Until now, four spacious outdoor enclosures have been created at BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh for 10 to 14 animals each, two bear houses with indoor rooms, a quarantine station and veterinary unit, a feeding kitchen and an administrative building. BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh now offers suitable living conditions for up to 44 bears – with your help, it will be expanded by 2020 to house 100 bears!
Our bears are fed 3 times a day: 8:30am, 1:30pm, and 4:30pm. So you are advised to arrange your visit accordingly if you want to have an intimate look at their daily lives in our enclosures. The entrance admission is free for everyone.
