This workshop is a wholly creative experience. You will learn ways to break through your own creativity blocks and find your own personal self expression, using watercolor, pastel, and x-acto knives. We will use pattern and material as directive tools in the process to a finished piece of art. I will attentively help each individual student navigate through creative problem solving, and everyone will make their own unique work. Be assured that these are no ordinary workshops! Please come prepared to be challenged and surprised by your own abilities. All tools, materials, and refreshments will be provided for this 2 hour workshop. You will have the option to frame your piece, with my help, for an additional $10. If you have a party of 6 or more, you can reach out to me to book a custom time!
Hello! My name is Laura and I am a Philadelphia artist. I've lived in Philadelphia for ten years, navigating the art scene and building my career. I work with glass, steel, chemicals, and watercolors. I have been teaching workshops out for my private studio for 2 years, sharing some of my process motifs for self expression. I studied sculpture for 5 years and won various awards during and after my education. My work has been shown in galleries all over the country, and is in several permanent collections, such as the Ritz Carlton, Vail Resorts, Anthropologie, and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
