Original SoBe Food and Culture Tour is an architectural, historic and cultural walking food tour. Besides delving into the foods of Miami Beach, you’ll discover the dramatic history, diverse culture and stunning Art Deco architecture of Miami Beach with your knowledgeable local tour guide. When you join our tour, your guide will share the dramatic (and romantic) stories that illustrate how Miami Beach has been shaped into the glamorous city we know today. Get the inside local scoop on the South Beach food scene on this fun outing that replaces lunch or dinner. Meet your local guide at a famous local cafe and bookstore and taste the indie bookstore’s fresh New American cuisine (avocado salsa, hummus with tahini, Florida sweet corn salsa, and yuca fries). Then, move on to family-owned Cuban restaurant for tamales, egg rolls, plantains, and virgin mojitos. After that taste a Peruvian fare, featuring ceviche and lomo saltado, a traditional stir-fry with strips of sirloin and vegetables. While moving on to dessert, enjoy a bombolone (traditional Italian doughnut), followed by freshly made kosher ice cream and sorbet at lcal ice cream factory. Remember. We will go beyond the tourist traps for an insider perspective on SoBe’s best eats, with a sprinkling of storytelling, history, and architecture lessons thrown in along the way
I am a globe trotter, an avid traveller and a tour guide. My work, studies and adventure have taken me to over 100 countries around the world. I am a graduate of International Relations with a natural inclination towards changing places and discovering new cultures. I am the founder of the first food and cultural tour in Miami and one of the first in the World. I am a proud owner of Miami Food Tours, which was declared in 2019 as one of 10 best food tour companies in the World. I like to taste various foods, especially the ones deemed as ''dangerous''. However, some of my favorite dishes are my kid's leftovers, which I frequently find at home. Miami has been my home for over a decade , so I do not need to travel to be in more than 100 countries at the same time. Therefore, join me on a epicurean and cultural adventure of the "Magic" City.
