We will meet in the Café on the main square where the history of Bovec takes place. In a pleasant atmosphere, with a fragrant morning coffee, we will briefly introduce ourselves and discuss the course of the day. We then head to our starting point, which is about 25 minutes away by car from the center of Bovec, where I will distribute your equipment. I will also briefly explain and demonstrate how easiest to use snowshoes. We will stroll to the nearby mountain pasture, admiring the beauty of the winter idyll. If the snow conditions allow us, we will climb through the forest to the top of the saddle. On the way up, I will show an example of a test of the snow surface, which is done in the event of a snow avalanche. If we have some more energy, we can make an example of a small snow shelter together in case we get a night out and have to bivouac. After a short break, we head to the valley and end our tour at the Café with hot tea or mulled wine.
My name is Marko, I live in Bovec, at the foot of the Triglav National Park and on the banks of the beautiful emerald river Soca. As a 10-year-old boy, I experienced a mountain storm on a school trip and since then my life has been marked by mountains, climbing and nature. I am now a licensed sports climbing instructor, ski instructor, as well as a local tourist guide in the Soča Valley, member of a Mountain Rescue Service. My 30 years of experience in the mountains, teaching and guiding young climbers in the Alpine Sections, as well as 10 years of experience in tourism, allow me to sharpen my sense of people. With me you will be safe in the embrace of nature, we will embark on beautiful little known trails. We will explore the remains of the mulatters of World War I st. We will enjoy breathtaking views from our paths to the Soča Valley
