Solo travellers, couples and families! Explore downtown Ottawa with a local professional photographer. No more selfies or asking strangers to take your photo (I've had my head cropped out of too many photos this way haha). To start our experience, we will meet on Parliament Hill in front of the centennial flame for our first set of photos. Then we will stroll over the bridge on the canal for photos that overlook Parliament with amazing views of the peace Tower and the river. Making our way towards the Byward Market, we will stop for shots in Major Hills Park. We will then tour around the Byward Market - one of Canada's oldest public markets since 1826 where you can meet local vendors. Finally we will indulge in a local delicacy: the Beavertail!! No visit to Ottawa is complete without this sweet treat :) Times are flexible; just reach out to let me know what works best for your schedule.
Hello and welcome! My name is Christine and I have been a photographer in the Ottawa area for the past 12 years. As I spent most of my 20s travelling and living abroad, I made the decision to come back home to Ottawa in 2005 and attend photography school. I got my diploma in 2007 and haven't put my camera down since! I love meeting and interacting with people and most of all capturing unique and special moments you can cherish for a lifetime.
Lit since 1967, the centennial flame burns directly in front of our Parliament; the perfect setting to begin our photoshoot. From there we move on to views of the Ottawa river and the Nationa Gallery - a stunning piece of architecture. Moving on we will stroll through Major Hills park which will lead us to the Byward Market for a few insider tips on local market vendors, restaurants and nightlife, finishing our experience with a Beavertail.
Remember to dress for the weather! Canadian winters are cold and we will be walking and touring around outside for an hour so remember your scarves, hats and gloves :)
