Upon arrival you can choose from a variety of refreshments. While you enjoy your drink of choice I will spend 5-10 minutes giving you some safety tips on the best way to interact with a ferret if you wish to handle them. After the quick briefing I will introduce you to Zeus and Tyson through their enclosure. Once you and the animals are comfortable, you (at your own risk) will be able to pet, hold and play with them. Ferrets are super playful and love to bounce and hop around, but like humans- that have bad days too and can get grumpy and less playful. Please note we will never force our animals to play or to be interactive, if the ferrets are grumpy holding them may not be possible. This is unlikely, BUT it is a possibility. During your time with us I will also have some fun/educational facts to share about ferrets and hopefully you’ll walk away with a better knowledge of these beautiful creatures with some great memories made. Hope to see you soon!
I have lived with/raised and released a variety of different animals throughout my whole life. Along with training my own horse at the age of 10, and have now successfully raised two beautiful ferrets. I have done extensive research on ferrets and have learned the best possible way to train, feed and love these animals. These exotic pets are widely miss understood/mistreated all over the world and my hope is to give people the opportunity to interact with them whilst educating them about these beautiful little animals.
You will be visiting our home and the ferrets play room. Depending on the day and weather we might also allow you to have playtime outside in the yard!
Camera/phone to take personal photos.
If you’re allergic to cats or dogs be sure to bring any allergy medicine as ferrets have cat like fur. Be sure to bring a phone/camera to take lots of selfies and pictures of your own.
