We will discuss the menu over a welcome drink (e.g. Indian Chai/Sharbat). In an interactive session, you will cook a three course meal including an appetizer, main course and dessert. We will also learn how to customize these dishes based on your preferences (e.g. spice level, food allergies etc.). I will provide all required ingredients and you will be cooking with help of my guidance. We can eat the food together or take-home and share the stories about cooking. In this experience you will learn about Indian food culture and how to cook delicious Indian food using simple ingredients at home everyday. We have special menu for each month. For March our menu is: Weekdays: 1) Welcome Drink- Chai 2) Appetizer- Spinach Pakoda 3) Main course- Curry, Dal (lentil soup), Roti (bread), Rice 4) Holi Special Dessert
I started cooking Indian food when I first left home for job, tired of eating outside and missing food from my mom's kitchen. When I moved to Boston I started cooking more Indian dishes. While cooking Indian dishes I feel more connected to my mom and grandmother, by observing whom I learned cooking. Me and my husband love to cook everyday and would be happy to serve our guest.
We will start our cooking session with a non-alcoholic welcome drink (e.g. chai). I will provide all necessary ingredients…
We will meet at our apartment located near downtown Boston. Our apartment is easy to access using public transport or a car. There are many public and metered car parking options available. We will conduct our cooking session in my cozy eat-in kitchen.
I will conduct the cooking class but I will host this with my husband. If you know basics of cooking Indian dishes and want to learn specific dish please contact host before you book a class. We love to travel and explore, find our blog: https://colorsandbliss.com/
