My country Singapore is a 24/7 nation of food lovers. I kid you not. Think fresh-made dim sum at 3am and a few places, packed with insomniac foodies. You want our iconic Bak Kut Teh (our national ribs soup) at midnight, no sweat. And have you pondered about our curiously famous frog porridge at 3am? It’s what culinary souvenirs are made of. This tour begins late, perhaps from 8pm, so it’s best to skip dinner (even lunch) because we will overfeed you with surprising tastes at places with friendly faces, often out of the touristy zones. We’ll let the cook and hawker tell you why they open at 1am and just who comes and patronize at those unearthly hours. We have a happy 24/7 economy because good food is available round the clock. There are some streets and areas that are midnight foodie zones and we’ll show and tell you where and why plus what they eat there. You know our country is very safe and to be able to go for a food spin when the moon is up, is frankly, very comforting and a big slice of our culinary culture.
I am KF Seetoh and my life had always been about heritage and street food culture. My friends and I, simply put, just want you to eat our story and digest the culture. Delicious local food is made more delectable when you know the fascinating tales and the wonderful people behind this “desperate food culture". We destress by eating out with friends and some of us blog about it and are very active on and offline. We’ve researched and written for local food guides and newspaper columns, helped produced and appeared on TV food shows. We want to share that unique bond and experience with you too. Hainan coffee kaya toast and gossip, great. Beer, BBQ chilli crabs and football, even better. Join us, be like us.

I love to tell you exactly where we will go but that will douse the element of surprise. Honestly, many of these hawkers will close at sudden notice & we often make detours and that adds to the surprise & fun. But we’ll shepherd you to the best of our local hawker food delights. The same hawker food culture that is up for a Unesco Award. Think Oyster Omelet, Satay with Pineapple sauce and even Bak Kut Teh, and you get the idea of what’s in store.
