**Message me if you have time preferences - I accomodate** We will go to our exclusive fishing dam where you will find a light picnic set out ready to enjoy in our beautiful natural setting while I brief you on the basics of fresh water fishing from the shore, from catching to safely releasing. I will then show you how to set up a fishing rod for the catch: Spooling a reel; Attaching a bobber (floating) & binder (feed); Attaching the hook; then casting the reel into the water. I will then give you your own rod to cast during which I will take pictures of you handling your rod as well as posing in the scenery while we wait for our lines to catch and enjoy the light picnic. Of course, once a line catches I will show you how to reel the fish in with the help of a net to keep it from sliding back in or hurting itself on a hook. Once again, I will photograph you holding your catch and then releasing it from the hook back into the dam. Fishing is a patient tranquil sport so the experience will be between 2 - 3 hours as you can catch and release as many times as you want as you get the hang of it through out the session with the opportunity to ask as many questions as you want. We will end of with a group shot depending on who you come with, then I will drop you back at the venue main gate. I will send you your Intro To Fishing Album 4 days after our experience.
I’m a people loving extrovert that has been living in Roodepoort for the past 18 months with my fiancé. I have access to an idyllic private dam where I love to fish because you will always make a catch. I fell in love with fishing and the camera after purchasing a technical Canon EOS 4000D over 2 years ago. At the time it was to capture my girlfriend on a cruise fishing trip but the more pictures I took the more she wanted as a social media influencer. I soon decided to do a course that came with the camera and have been self teaching via online manuals and guides since then. I specialise in scenery, portraits and landscapes and have learnt to make my subjects stand out by focusing natural light on features. Fishing is a hobby that I honed via friends, the internet and necessity as a hungry teen in the rural areas.

Our Intro to Fishing & Photoshoot experience will take place at the serene and private Eagle Canyon Dam filled with Bass, Crabs and Ducks swimming around. You can only gain access to this picturesque dam through a resident, such as myself, that has invited you as their guest. What’s wonderful about this dam is that it is so full, you will always catch something.
Hats and Sunscreen
We will not go inside the water at all but if you want to bring a life jacket if you aren’t a strong swimmer although the water is calm and shoulder length deep.
