Cocktails have been a major part of DC culture since the very beginning — George Washington even owned the largest distillery in the country! Join us as we explore the history of prohibition and cocktails in DC and learn how alcohol helped shape this country. Your DC cocktail tour starts in Indiana Plaza, the site of the famous Temperance Fountain gifted to DC to show support for Prohibition. From there, we take you to visit two of DC’s best cocktail bars where we sample drinks, meet the people behind the bars, and learn how their craft cocktails are made. Along the way, uncover how cocktails have played a massive part in DC’s history, learn how Prohibition shaped the city, and discover the local distilling movement that’s returning. By the time you’re done, you’ll never look at cocktails in quite the same way.
Guests will enjoy two cocktail samples (subject to availability and location)
We'll check out some of the coolest bars downtown! Whether it's below ground, on a roof or hidden from sight, we'll showcase the best that Penn Quarter/Chinatown has to offer.
最多8人參加，年齡須滿21歲。 Please bring a drivers license, passport or other form of ID to verify legal drinking age.
This tour runs rain or shine, unless the weather constitutes a dangerous situation. Your guide will be at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to start time. Message here or call 202 810 1700 if you can't find your guide - they'll be wearing Urban Adventures gear.
