We will have a walk out of the very historic centre specially chosen round the most noteworthy buildings from 20th century which made it to architectural textbooks. You'll learn about city's urbanism, historical circumstances, buildings' technicalities, detailling and composition. You will get to see some of the best interiors and public art. If you are an architect, a student, an enthusiast from a related field or just curious, join in! Note: We will avoid the obvious Old Prague's must-sees and its crowds.
I am a master student of Architecture and Design, a free-lance architect, and a Prague local with a passion for guiding. I am convinced that through interest and knowledge we build a stronger, more meaningful connection with the environment. I provide an expert insight into our city and its tremendous architecture.
We will venture out of the historic centre to a bigger area of the New Town, where many more architectural gems await. You will see early moderne, unique cubism, art nouveau, functionalism, brutalism, deconstructivism, contemporary architecture. There will be an accent on building built by the regime inbetween 1960's and 1980's because they lack popularity inspite of their tremendous architectural quality.
