Welcome into the home of the old wise trees, wild animals and plants and all kinds of pure, cold, refreshing waters that have transformed over thousands of years for you to taste. We'll meet in one of the most magical gardens in Fara, The Forest Flower Garden that is situated on the Slovenian side of The River Kolpa/Kupa with a homemade welcome drink. Followed by a slow relaxing mindful walk to the surrounding nature and the river to get some inspirations for the following art workshop. During this experience you will be able to use all of your senses, both physical and intuitive ones and learn how to hear nature speak. We will meet special trees, rocks and stones and medicinal plants that we can collect for preparing some tasty tea afterwards. With the collected materials we will make a unique art souvenir that you can take home.
I'm a biologist who has been working for the last 11 years as an educator in The Učka Nature Park and at The Natural History Museum Rijeka. I've recently received The Croatian Museum Association prize for my educational project. I've been hiking my whole life and fell so madly in love with nature that I've moved with my family and animals from the city into a small village at the border of the Risnjak National Park. My co-host Ljuba, is an artistic soul who found her passion in showing hidden nature treasures to others. She finished The School for Earth Healing/Geomancy hosted by a renowned sculptor, geomantist and lithopuncturist Marko Pogačnik after which she co-created an International lithopunture project World of Kupa. As a Master of Agriculture, she owned a biodynamic nursery and worked as a garden designer.
All items are homemade. Welcome aperitifs and soft drinks are made from fruits (apple, plum, pear, old varieties of grapes)…
At the forest flower garden in Fara we will meet and gently stretch our body to awaken our senses before the walk. You're invited to ground yourself over the lithopuncture stone near the school then continue over the bridge Prifarski jarak and down the meditation path to The River Kolpa/Kupa. We'll get back with all the collected materials of your choice to the flower garden where the art workshop will take place.
Adequate outdoor footwear according to the season and wear in layers as weather conditions can rapidly change. Bring a snack and a bottle of water.
Every guest will receive all the necessary materials (paints, brushes etc.) for the art workshop.
