In my private kitchen, we will experience a multi-course Italian meal. We will begin the experience with a light antipasto or appetizer course, that could include meat, cheese, or fish. Then, as we start to craft the main course together, I will share the history behind the family tradition of the meal, or elaborate on aspects of the cooking process. It may even turn into discussion about pre-unification Italian history! We will enjoy the main meal together, true Italian family style, at the table, and then finish the evening off with a southern Italian dessert. Guests will take home print outs of the recipes that we make to recreate the Italian cuisine at home. Come back for a different experience as the menu will change!
Hi, my name is Rigina! Being a dual EU-US citizen, I draw upon my time living in England, Italy, New York, and now Wisconsin, to craft food experiences for guests. My primary food basis is Italian. I will share the process of Italian food making techniques, like those for sausage making that my family implements at their specialty meat shop in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan, as we recreate recipes that are handed down by my family from Napoli and Sicily. The menu changes, and can include entrees such as caprese salad, linguine alla vongole, pork meatballs and hot sausage in Neapolitan red sauce, Italian cookies, cannoli, and seafood. I want to share my family’s Neapolitan seafood and pasta recipes, and spread appreciation for the smoothness and strength of lesser known Italian wines.
