***The time of the lesson is flexible and can be arranged at booking. We'll meet at a local park and get you into a pair of quality skates, plus safety gear. We'll begin by covering the basics of how to skate, especially in an outdoor setting. We will stay in a safe area to practice rolling, turning, and stopping, and then skate several miles to enjoy the views. There will be breaks along the way for you to take pictures and work on skills. You are welcome to bring a jogging stroller if you feel confident pushing it. If you have kids that would come along but not take the lesson or need skates, you don't have to pay for them! Feel free to bring them with their bike, scooter, or whatever they can ride along on. Consider booking a second lesson within a day or two of the first, to cement what you've learned! I also host lessons along another scenic trail (Milton), and at an outdoor rink (Pensacola Beach). BEFORE BOOKING: I am building my skate inventory. I have skates to accomadate girls shoe sizes 12t, 13t, 1, 2, 3, and women's shoe sizes 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5. If your group will only be needing those sizes, feel free to book. If you will need additional sizes, you can still book. BUT I will need to order the additional skates and will need a 3 day window before I'm able to host your group.
I have discovered really beautiful areas around Pensacola that have scenic paved trails that I'm eager to share through roller skating. I focus on safe, good habits so you will feel confident skating on your own later. I can show you the basics of how skates work and what to look for if you want to buy your own later. Almost anyone can skate, you don't have to be young or athletic. I love teaching and can't wait to get you rolling!
I will provide quality, cute rollerskates and basic safety gear. If you have your own skates and gear, feel free to use…
We will meet at Gulf State Park, just past the Alamama- Florida state line. This park has 14 miles of paved trails. We will skate along a bike trail through so many beautiful sceneries. There is forest, bayou, water views, etc.
Wear clothing in layers, not too tight or baggy. We will be outside so consider sunscreen, a hat, bug repellant, etc.
