This tour starts next to the tiger statue in front of the Oslo Visitor Centre at Jernbanetorget, in central Oslo. Most buses, subways, trams and trains stop at Jernbanetorget. After we meet, we will take the metro line Frognerseteren to Frognerseteren station. This is a great train ride, so enjoy the views! The panoramic view from Frognerseteren is magnificent. We will slowly hike down towards King Olav’s trail and over the picturesque Fuglemyrene before reaching the top of Vettakollen mountain. On this tour I'll show you the best panoramic views, and also we will explore the Norwegian forest: listen to birds singing and breath the scent of pines. From Vettakollen peak you will see the best view to the city. This experience is absolutely unbelievable! The summit offers a panorama of large parts of Oslo, the Oslo fjord, its coastline and many small islands. After enjoying this breathtaking Vettakollen view, we will stroll down to the metro station and finish our trip at Jernbanetorget. Don't forget to bring your camera and the good mood!
Hi! My name is Einar, I have been living in Oslo for more than 50 years. From early age I have been in love with nature and forests. My hobbies are hiking, skiing and meeting new people. What's why I created a travel company that offers unique hiking experience in the forests of Oslo. Nature in Norway is amazing, we have lakes and fjord here, green forests and mountains, as well as nice views to the Oslo fjord. As a local I know every path in the forest. I will try to take great care of you and show the best views to Oslo fjord. The main purpose is to make you happy as well as presenting a forest we are very proud of, and hopefully you will leave with a wonderful memory.
