Let's discover one of the most beautiful and spectacular cities in Italy: Siena, where the Gothic period - lasting from the XIII to the XV century - left the most important traces on the Siena's "skin". In fact all the most important monuments we will visit were built in that time, starting with the Basilica of San Domenico and ending with the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. After the visit at San Domenico church (very considerable because of the Saint Catherine's - one of the most important Saints all time, born in Siena - memories) we will reach, through the characteristic streets of Siena, the most significant places of the city, such as the main street, Banchi di Sopra, the main square, Il Campo, with its main palace, the Public Palace and, finally, the Cathedral, for sure one of the most beautiful in the world, that I'd love to visit with you guys for a memorable moment to share all together.
My name is Nicola Bernini, I come from Chianti area and I'm a licensed tour guide since 2012. Art and history are my real passions and I consider Siena one of my favorite city because here Past and Present are living together. Siena has so much fascination and beauty to offer to anybody ready to see it. It's definitely not a place for a 'fast food' tourism, so, take your time if you want to connect with this place and fully understand it. I can't wait to show you this spectacular and very special city!

The tour will start at San Domenico church. From there we will move to the heart of the city, for going to see Il Campo square (where the magnificent Palazzo Pubblico is) and the area of the Cathedral. There we will visit the Cathedral and the outside of the stunning Baptistery, where the tour will end.
Curiosity, good legs, a good camera and, in hot season, a cap and solar cream.
