Walk through coconut groves in one of Miami's prestige beaches - Key Biscayne!Touch the trees, collect coconut shells, learn about the different methods of opening the husk/ nut and study the different kinds coconuts that grow in Miami. You will also get a glimpse into the vast world of Ayurveda (traditional medicine from India) which has the most coveted health secrets related to using the coconut for recipes and bodycare. Learn how to balance the 5 elements and 6 tastes based on your own unique body type. The journey has three elements - we first meet at my home and have a class about coconuts and Ayurveda, then you will receive a demonstration of cracking the coconut husk and lastly, we will go to the beach to hunt for our own coconut!
Katie provides in-depth teachings based on her experience living and cooking in India (where the coconut comes from!). She combines the nectar of the traditional Vedic sciences (mainly Yoga and Āyurveda) with modern science and a down-to earth teaching that that allows you to feel, hear, and taste the cool and sweet coconut! Katie is an Ayurvedic Consultant (AHC) and has been trained traditionally in diciplinic succession under the top healers of India. She now lives in Miami where her service to the community consistis of giving Ayurveda consultations and now coconut classes with vedic flair.

We will meet at my home in Coconut grove and we will end up in Crandon Park which is in Key Biscayne, It is undoubtedly the best beach in Miami - clean, spacious & full of coconut trees! *Transportation to beach not included *$5 beach parking fee *IF ONLY ONE PERSON SIGNS UP I MAY CANCEL EXPERIENCE
