  • If you actively want participate on this experience cooking Okonomiyaki do not forget to bring the following ingredients
  • Pancake batter: 2/3 cup ap flour (substitute with Rice flour for gluten allergy), 1/4 cup rice flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1 cup water, 1 cup coconut milk, 1 eggs, 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup shredded cabbage (red or green)
  • Yummy sauce: 1/2 tablespoon of garlic powder, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce (omit for gluten allergy. substitute with tamari)
  • Oko Sauce: 1/2 cup of bbq sauce(favorite brand), 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of chili flakes ,1/4 cup of ketchup, 1/4 cup of oyster sauce(omit for gluten allergy. substitute with wok mei gluten free oyster sauce), 1 tablespoon of sugar

Chef Soo Ahn was super welcoming and made everyone feel at ease. He helped us to create something that we had never even heard of before and we learned that we LOVED. The dish is something that we can build upon in our own daily cooking and make it our own. We were able to ask questions and clarify instructions or ingredients along the way. My husband and I loved this experience and will be doing more virtual experiences like this during quarantine! Tip: Have some of the ingredients measured out into little bowls before hand so that you can easily combine them and follow along!

Chef Soo is AWESOME and EXCELLENT! He's honestly one of the nicest, most genuine, and most talented and efficient chefs I've had the pleasure to meet. He took time out of his busy routine to show us how to cook some of the most delicious brunch meals, and he even taught us how to make a cocktail to go with it. He really surpassed my expectations, and I appreciate how he shared his knowledge with us. Thank you soooo much, Chef Soo! I can't wait to attend your next class.

Chef Soo was awesome. Really nice and fun guy with a cool story of how he got to be a chef, and interesting insight into the restaurant he works at now. The dish was great in that it was something I had never made before, looks and feels gourmet, and is adaptable to what you might have on hand. It was a memorable class for all those reasons!

Chef Soo was awesome. He did an amazing job at getting the group involved, and allowing us to ask questions about the food, his career, his hobbies, and life in general. The okonomiyaki was equally enjoyable, and it did not take a high cooking experience level to do well!
