On this visit there will be less walking and less history talking—unless you ask—than on my other Tea Walks. Instead we will be visiting four or five unique places in the area and tasting tea in them. I will talk about the teas and explain why these places are unique. On the tour you will taste a Japanese tea, Indian masala chai and real Earl Grey. We will discuss the differences between Japanese and Chinese teas, how and when the Japanese started steaming their tea, how many types of Chinese teas there are, and much much more. It's a nomad tea masterclass. If you cannot make any days offered but still would like to join this experience please contact me and I will try to arrange something for those dates
People call me the Tea Whisperer. I found tea, or may be tea found me, after a long search for my purpose. Having worked in finances for many years, then traveling, trying myself in the Chinese circus, Japanese Butoh, astrology, and becoming a mother, I finally discovered tea, and it was love at first sight. I started traveling to China to learn about tea and after a short time I founded my tea company called T-Lovers, dedicated to educating people about tea—its essence, its spirit, and its ability to connect us to ourselves and the world around us.
Biscuits You'll get some biscuits at some of the stops.
Tea You'll receive a tea at every location.
The walk will take place in the fashionable and vibrant area of Shoreditch, which is famous for street art and is full of unique cafes, restaurants, shops, and galleries. We will visit several places that not only serve great teas, but all also share a much deeper vision, philosophy, and concept at their core. These places are all very different from each other too, even though they are located in the close proximity to each other.
