Join me and have a blast as we use fresh, simple ingredients to make (and of course, drink!) delicious cocktails at home.
This experience is GREAT FOR GROUPS & TEAM BUILDING
(feel free to request a specific date & time).
First things first…a great cocktail can be (and usually, should be) made with as few as three or four ingredients. The most common household items that will yield a wide array of choices are: citrus juice (from lemons or limes) and sugar (white, raw, maple syrup, agave nectar, honey etc). With even just one from each of these categories, you’ll be sitting pretty.
For spirits, we’ll be drinking something fabulous whether we’re reaching for gin, rum, tequila, vodka, aquavit, whiskey…the list goes on.
First, you will be guided through the history of bartending and cocktails. Then we'll discuss a few key techniques for making killer cocktails at home!
We will dive into the finer details of ice, dilution, citrus, bitters, bar tool etiquette etc.
We’ll shake cocktails, we’ll stir cocktails, we’ll laugh, we’ll drink, we’ll become friends.

- Citrus - lemons or limes (1-2 per person), one orange
- Simple syrup - equal parts sugar and water (other sweeteners such as maple syrup, agave nectar and honey are fine too! If you’re using honey, please dilute it 1 to 1 with warm water and stir to dissolve)
- Spirit of choice - gin and whiskey are personal faves
- Aromatic Bitters -If you’re out, you can make some! Mix pinches of cinnamon, allspice, anise, and/or clove with grated orange peel and diced prunes in 2oz vodka. Let steep as along as possible. We tried to learn mixology on our own through books. It worked well but paled in comparison to Simon’s virtual lesson. He provided history, context and pro tips that took our cocktails to the next level. His love for the art was apparent and appreciated. We are much better for it and are motivated to visit the Twin Cities and see him action. We would highly recommend it!

Just a wonderful experience overall! It was so much fun to make craft cocktails and Simeon was very knowledge on all things cocktails. He was great at answering questions and explaining how to make the cocktails. Our cocktails have definitely been elevated and taste SO much better now!! I HIGHLY recommend this class and will be sharing it with my family/friends to sign up as well. :)

Simeon provided an excellent pandemic-friendly activity that was sincerely even better than I expected. While we do make our own cocktails, this helped us finesse the details and make them really enjoyable with just a little effort. I strongly recommend this experience, especially if you're ready to upgrade from the same old Jack and coke-type drinks to something fun.
