Get prepared for a total immersion into the Tuscan way of life. Join me in my kitchen for a fun cooking class, combining fresh handmade stuffed pasta and great company. I would like to make you live a multi sensory experience, far away from mass tourism. Let's start making the dough : I'll guide you step by step to get a perfect pasta dough. We will used it to prepare 2 kinds of pasta : stuffed pasta (tortelli or ravioli) and long pasta (tagliatelle or tagliolini). Before rolling (and stuffing) the pasta we will cook the filling : potatoes, parmesan, nutmeg, garlic and parsley are the ingredients for the traditional Tortelli (I could propose you instead to prepare some Ravioli with fresh seasonal products). Of course we will cook 2 delicious sauces, one for each kind of pasta. On demand it is possible to prepare the dessert together (tiramisù, cheesecake, cantuccini...). After cooking, we will share a simple meal as old friends. I have selected a natural local red wine to accompagny the pasta. At the end I will offer you an italian dessert and a moka coffee. PS : the duration of the experience can vary from 3 to 4 hours.
Native from Paris, I've been living in Tuscany for 18 years. Before settling in Florence, I lived in Mugello, a beautiful area of Tuscan Emilian Apennines, where I used to make Tortelli, little pillows stuffed with potatoes. I have a great interest for all that is handmade. I'm working as a seamstress and tailoring teacher. And I'm in love with Tuscan traditional cuisine, combination of seasonal products into simple recipes. You will be welcomed in my flat, situed in a residential and quiet area in the west part of Florence, with a nice view of the Florentine countryside. It is easily connected with public transports (Tramway or bus / €1,50 for a ticket). It is also possible to come walking though a beautiful alternative itinerary through the hills. If you come by car, I will show you where to park for free.

The menu will be completely vegetarian (no meat and no fish). Please let me know about your food restrictions (vegan or dairy free are welcome!) A cat is living with me, but it can be absent if you wish. Feel free to write for any question!
