We will depart Ensenada at 10:30am and arrive at the first winery around 11am I have put together all of the necessary ground work in order to make your experience in Valle De Guadulupe as memorable as possible. In Valle De Guadalupe you will meet the regions top chefs along with the vintners who are responsible for making Baja's famous wine, tour through the caves where the wine is stored, learn the process of their wine making, and of course taste the many different wines of the region. During my tour you will visit 3 non-commercial wineries. I prefer the smaller mom and pop places which provide higher quality wine and experience. Also we will eat lunch at a great restaurant. The tour usually ends around 4:30 depending on how many are in the group and how many photos are taken to update their instagram. I try not to rush the tour and I don't get annoyed when asked to take a thousand pictures for you. I really enjoy spending time getting to know the people on the tour.
I love wine and I love Baja. In 2010 I came down to Valle de Guadalupe to check out the wine route that my friends from Mexico were talking about. After following around strangers in my car to find the next winery I realized that there was far more to this adventure. So in 2014 I moved to Ensenada full time and and started a tour company called Baja Vino. I have been a part of this region while watching it grow from 20 wineries to more than 150. I have become best friends with the wine makers and chefs and truly feel that I provide a local experience that nobody else can.
Lunch is included on the tour.
A tasting at each of the 3 wineries is included in the price.
I will pick you up in my personal 4Runner Premium if you are 4 or less people for the day. If there are more then I will…
We will visit 3 wineries. I like to switch the wineries up from tour to tour but always visit smaller wineries. I feel that the boutique wineries have so much more to offer wine lovers. For lunch we have a few options and have come to find through several years of doing tours that people like authentic Mexican cuisine from a reputable location.
You don't really need much other than clothes to match the weather for the day as we will be outside a lot unless it's raining.
