Enjoy a wonderful 2-mile walk on a dormant volcano with stunning views of downtown Portland. We will meet at the Visitor Center at Mt. Tabor Park, then begin a gentle, hilly hike of about two miles total - through the Mt. Tabor forest on mostly paved paths. At the midway point we will be at the summit of Mt. Tabor, which has magnificent views on clear mornings. This hike has something for everyone. It is a mostly easy walk suitable for beginner to intermediate hikers, and a fantastic walk for advanced hikers. If you want to get a bit more of a workout there are some more rigorous trails to take. Either way, you’re in for a treat! Mt. Tabor has an abundance of tall douglas fir trees as well as many native trees. Birdwatchers will enjoy looking for and spotting a wide variety of birds. Reach out with any questions or special requests!

I am a trained Naturalist who loves looking at trees, birds, and critters! Let me show you one of the premier nature parks and viewpoints in Portland in this peaceful walk. Suitable for all who are interested in a nature walk in the woods above Portland. Check out my Airbnb and my other Airbnb Experiences in Portland: www.woodlawnguesthouse.com
