We will start with a brief insight into how Naomhogs are built , their uses and their history. Once we have given a safety briefing and fitted a buoyancy aid on our visitors we are ready to go Rowing. We will head out into the harbour and if we are lucky will get to see a local resident (Funghi the dolphin), we may also have a chance to pull a fishing pot (traditional way of fishing for crab and lobster) - seasonal. You will experience the wonderful sights of Dingle Harbour with your tour guide (one guide per boat). We cater for individuals and small groups.
Maunza, ( Karen )
Maunza is rowing Naomhogs for 30 years, she has won many races with her crew including All-Ireland Championships. All the boats used for the trips are built by Eddy Hutch/ Maunza, and we are very keen on explaining the different styles to our visitors. There is a guide in each boat, 3 guests to 1 guide,so you will not be left to your own devices, and will learn how to row this very sturdy, locally made boat. We are very flexible in the tour times, if you don’t see a time that suits you on the calendar, just message us and we will try our best to accommodate you.
Buoyancy Aids and gloves
We will take a trip into Dingle Harbour, taking in the sights of Eask Tower, Hussey’s Folly and Dingle town.
