活動內容

We will have a drive to a magical quechua village, far from noise and located in a beautiful country site sorrounded by fresh air, green views and a blue lake, where we will be warmly welcomed by the locals with beautiful quechua songs.

In these quechua villages, we can still see people dressed in their typical costumes, an ancient tradition that goes back to Inka days, so we will learn about the meaning of each part of the clothing and the purpose of its use.

Locals will show us their lifestyle, starting with the natural medicine they use, as people from the quechua village does not have acces to hospitals nearby. Also, they will show us the products they farm (organic) for self consumption and its nutritional value.

We will have the opportunity to taste the culinary delights that they prepare in the area with the food they produce on their farmland.

Finally, they will surprise us with a demonstration of organic dyeing of alpaca wool, which they use for their different fabrics, all handmade and with designs from very remote periods, each with a meaning, which has been transmitted for generations and we want to be preserved this way for future generations.

If you are looking for a specific date, please send a message and we will try to accommodate.

I was called to do philantrhopy since i was a child. And i like to believe small details can be the difference in life. Do it. Go. Book the experience. We did a lot of things in Peru, and loved them all for different reasons, but this in particularly was very special. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome, and the connection between Jane and the Quechua village was genuine. I soaked in the knowledge passed along from these wonderful women, and even my ten year old was engaged for almost every second. Anyone with kids knows that says a lot. I left FEELING something. Also with many new treasures that I purchased to support these women as well as enjoy. Such beautiful creations. You won’t be able to resist.

If you wish to learn more of the Quechua culture then look no further this is the experience for you!! This was such an amazing cultural learning experience! I was the only participant but that just made it oh so much better, it was very much a one on one experience! I came into this experience with a hunger of knowledge to learn more of the Quechua people and man was that definitely filled. My actual hunger was quenched as well with an amazing lunch that was made with love by the community women and everything was delicious! I look forward to being able to come back to this welcoming community after learning a bit of the language and seeing my new family! I would highly recommend this experience to any friend/family, thank you very much Jane!

MAGICAL !!! This was a once of a lifetime opportunity to learn the secrets of the Quechua people and develop a deep appreciation for their way of life. I learned a ton and enjoyed every second of this. From the warm welcome, to the lessons they taught, to the food the prepared, this was a gem of an experience. If you want to learn about the Quechua culture, this is your best opportunity. And, by participating you are supporting women retaining their culture and sharing their culture rather than leaving their homes for other means of income. You will leave with a full heart. I could not imagine a better tour guide nor a more interesting activities. Jane and the women she is working with in the Quechua community put a ton of thought and planning into this experience. Jane introduced us to wonderful Quechua women at their home. The experience was amazingly set up to maximize our time. Everything was prepared laid out beautifully in handmade ceramic bowls. Before the tour, the women gathered fresh herbs, harvested vegetables and put together their yarn, crafts, etc. It meant that the time we spent with them was packed with deep lessons and intimate conversations.

Learning about the culture and lifestyle of the group of indigenous women in Peru we met with was an amazing experience! Jane translated for us as these skilled women taught us how they use local resources to make medicines, foods and dyes. They organized our experience so we could participate in mixing herbs to see how it was done. We ate delicious food they prepared, saw how they created (in front of our eyes) various color dyes for the wool, washed and dyed it, and spun it while walking! We learned how they weave it and make the beautiful fabrics and clothing, the meaning of the symbols woven in, and the cultural aspects of what they wear. It was a truly magical experience, and I felt honored to be allowed this intimate glimpse into the lives of these women.

Wow, wow and wow again! This is one of the most genuine souvenirs for the soul we have received towards the end of this trip. Ever since we have arrived in Peru (for the first time in South America) we wanted to dive deeper into the Quechua culture and we are so incredibly happy with this introductory enriching experience. It was literally beyond our dreams. Jane designed an admirable experience for the two of us. We have met five wonderful Quechua women in a remote self-sustainable village, learned about their belief system, the way they perceive nature, plants, food, weavery. It was a multi-faceted sensorial experience as well, while tasting and smelling healing plants belonging to the region and understanding new angles about the world around us. This experience needs to be cherished, experienced and also archived as it felt like a rare encounter. We strongly hope that the archival of Quechua culture will grow in time as it is a truly special form of community. For the ones looking to understand more in-depth the multi-faceted culture, this is a compelling introduction that is easily transformed into one of the most beautiful memories of Peru. Enjoy it fully!
