*This is a SMALL 3 person photo tour, we will travel in a private SUV to some of the most beautiful areas of the city. We'll first meet before sun sets at the scenic Marina District in San Francisco that looks out at the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, & Sausalito. At this starting point, we will go over basic camera settings, which are used for urban night photography. At each location, you will receive expert advice on how to capture a high-quality image. By the end of the night, you'll have a better understanding of how to take pictures in low to no light & you'll have 4-5 epic hero shots to add to your portfolio. Our Photo Spots: Golden Gate Bridge - As the sky turns to night, the bridge lights up & you will be able to capture it in a whole new light. Palace of Fine Arts – Here you will learn how to use long exposure & experiment with reflections. Lombard Street – Here you'll learn how to shoot light trails. You'll also go over best practices for cityscapes as you capture a unique city view of Coit Tower, St. Paul's Catholic Church & Bay Bridge. Bay Bridge – Often overlooked the Bay Bridge is equally as stunning as GG, especially at night when all of the LEDs are lit
My love for photography has enabled me to be ‘tourist’ in my own backyard. I’m constantly searching for and finding places I would never have ventured to without photography. I’m the lead photographer at PhotoHere and for the past couple years, I’ve been traveling throughout San Francisco taking pictures for an upcoming local photography location guide. While doing this I discovered that one of my favorite photography subjects is to capture is the city at night because this is when some of the worlds most iconic sites are illuminated and really come alive.
Private Transportation Starting at the meeting point, I personally drive you from one location to the next.
Tripod FREE eye level tripod provided for use during workshop.
Golden Gate Bridge - What’s a trip to San Francisco without a photo of this iconic Bridge. Palace of Fine Arts – A large classical Roman rotunda hovering above a lake, you will hardly believe that you are still in SF. Lombard Street – Known as the most 'crooked' street in the world, it is filled twisty curves that are showcased well with car light trails. Bay Bridge – From the Embarcadero we'll capture the 2nd most popular bridge in SF.
