You will take part in a quintessentially British experience, boating on the River Thames. Away from the noise and bustle of the city center and fully immersed in the leafy suburbs of London you will learn about barges, locks, life on the river and riverside pubs! A typical cruise will start in Walton on Thames where I will welcome you on board with a cappuccino and a Danish pastry in front of a wood burning stove. I will show you around the boat and chat briefly about safety procedures while on board. With that out of the way we will set on our journey. This will be your chance to slow down, relax and adapt to the pace of life on the river. The gorgeous and tranquil Surrey landscapes will help you in the process. Our first lock will be only 30 minutes away and for those with no previous experience this will be a chance to familiarize with the procedure of 'passing a lock' and take active part with the handling of the boat. It's good fun and a way to learn about boating on the river. All seasons are very picturesque on the Thames and a good camera is a must! There will be plenty of soft drinks, tea, coffee and snacks to keep you going. A full Royal Picnic will be served when moored up next to the Hampton Court Palace's Gardens. If you are celebrating a special occasion you can book the whole boat for your group. Just follow the instruction in the booking section.
Born in Italy, European at heart. My passion for boats started on the Adriatic Sea when I was a teenager. Since, I have sailed extensively in Italy, Croatia, The Solent and I have also completed the crossing of the Tasman Sea between Sydney and New Zealand. I have lived in London for over 20 years and the Thames is for me a natural connection to the sea. Over the years I have explored every corner of it and I have come to appreciate and love all the different aspects this river has to offer. This passion for boats, sea and the Thames is at the heart of my Experience. I do hope that with taking part in my experience you too will discover an aspect of this river that will catch your imagination and encourage you to return for more.
