1) Cook 4 types of bread. Couple of rotis and couple of parathas. You are free to do as much or as little as you are comfortable during the session. 2) Eat some bread. There will be vegetarian and non-vegetarian accompaniments Along the way we will trade stories, discuss the local food and beverages scene and enjoy a nourishing meal with local craft beer.
I’ve been learning the art and science of Indian breads for over 30 years, cooking at home for friends and family. Indian flat breads (in most cases unleavened) have evolved to be distinct in the world of breads and I look forward to introducing you to nuances of it. This experience is an introduction, to get you curious, connected and motivated to try it at home. It is easy to participate in and can be cooked in most home kitchens around the world. Indian breads are a vast universe with many different flours, implements, methods and accompaniments. We will literally and figuratively get the ball rolling :)
