Every experience starts at the Viktualienmarket at 3 pm (if not told otherwise). There's a huge blue & white log standing in the center. It's called Maibaum (may tree). For a start, we tell you everything about the market & tell you our plan for the menu. After that, we start shopping. Only the best meat, fish, vegetables & dairy products land in our shopping bags. After the market, we get some coffee in a local coffee shop that's roasting his own coffee. Thursdays, we go to the local farmers' market to finish up the shopping. Afterwards, we go back to our place which is just a couple of minutes away. We'll start preparing & cooking & with a beer in our hand (or wine or water, if you prefer), we tell you all the things you need to see & do in Munich! A typical main dish would be "Roasted pork with red cabbage and dumplings", "char with new potatoes and farmer's salad", "tasting of various Bavarian sausages". When everything is ready, we are having dinner together! If you have any allergies, please let us know! Please notice that the experience can only take place from two people upwards, so if you are travelling alone, please contact us BEFORE booking. We will sort something out!
My husband Alexander got 20 years of experience in the michelin star gastronomy and hotel industry, e.g. at Brenner’s Park Hotel Baden Baden, Germany, the Bürgenstock Hotel in Luzern, Switzerland, and Claridge’s Hotel, London, England. I've been living in Munich all my life and know all the best places in town! Where to get the best groceries, the best Dirndl (see other experiences) and the most delicious beer. We love food and grocery shopping, we are serious about organic food and a sustainable food chain, we love our city and together we are a perfect match for your real Bavarian Food Experience!
