As a nature mindfulness guide, I love to teach people how to engage nature more deeply to reduce stress, improve sleep and reduce reactivity. In doing so, not only are we able to improve our relationship with ourselves, but also with those around us and with the Earth herself.

Nature Practice - a curated collection of methods from ancient world traditions that help make our daily life & spiritual practice more nature-centered, helps to improve our inner wellbeing as well as our relationship with the earth.

Depending on conditions, we'll meet at one of my favorite spots - a trusted corner of the coast which has helped me find calm and clarity.

We'll weave together a mix of experiences:

GUIDANCE
I'll offer guidance on nature practice and meditating outdoors, drawing on the wisdom of my indigenous & Buddhist teachers related to deepening our connection to nature.

PRACTICE
We'll have an opportunity to practice together. I'll guide you through different mindfulness practices. We'll be doing seated and a bit of walking meditation.

JOURNALING
We'll capture our thoughts, poetry, sketches and reflections in our notebooks.

SHARING
A good part of our retreat will be in silence but we'l

Growing up, my parents were quite adventurous and they would often take us to the wilderness and to visit indigenous communities in Venezuela. From an early age, I gained an appreciation for what it means to be attuned to the outdoor world.

I've also been fortunate to study with the Dalai Lama for more than 20 years, with Thich Nhat Hanh at his monastery, and received certification as a professional nature mindfulness teacher with Mark Coleman of Awake in the Wild.

This work is guided by those experiences.

I'll take you to my favorite spots - the trusted corners of the coast - which over the years have helped me quiet down, connect deeply with nature's beauty and engage with her cues for increasing my wellbeing.

Natasha's mini nature retreat was great! Over the course of two hours, we practiced two mindfulness sessions (one guided, one walking) in addition to discussing mindfulness, connection to nature, our own mental states, poetry, and mapping (on handouts she provided which were great!) about what supports our mental clarity and mindfulness. As an educator who uses mindfulness in my own teaching practice, I left with some great ideas for my own classroom, as well as feeling personally rejuvenated and reconnected to my personal practice. Listen to her about the layers - it was chilly but we had lots to bundle in and it helped! Also, I went with three friends, but another person in our group was solo, and I would definitely have been comfortable joining alone.

This was such a unique and amazing experience! I don't usually do stuff like this, so was apprehensive as to what to expect, but it was incredible. Natasha was warm and made us feel so comfortable, took us through what to expect and I felt relaxed the entire time. The experience itself involves a beautiful setting, some story telling, introduction to concepts about connecting with nature and mindfulness, but importantly for me - gave me useful tools that was so easy to implement in real life for dealing with stress, motivation and larger life questions... I suggested to Natasha to do this again as a monthly thing and she was very receptive. She's a great teacher and healer! I would recommend anyone to just try this- even if just once. It's a great way to spend a morning doing something different and fulfilling.

This was for a team offsite, and I went in with reservations about how effective this would be as I am not experienced in meditation or nature practice as even a concept. However, this was a deeply connecting and grounding experience, and I am very thankful for the new perspective on belonging, and my relationship with nature and the world at large. The topics are both spiritual and practical, philosophical yet easy to digest. A unique experience that I am still digesting and mulling over, and will make a lasting impression on my world view.

Initially I had expected just guided meditation with the setting just being fully outdoors; however, it was so much more than that. I never even thought of using our senses in nature to ground us to the present, so that we could learn to be present. I would say that all the nature practices that Natasha gave a little glimpse of I am seriously interested to incorporating into my life. Whether or not you have any experience with meditation or nature, it doesn’t matter, I think if you come with an openness to learn and try something, you’ll take away so much more.

The meditation spot is impressive. You could relax and feel the inner-peace and the balance between nature and you. Make you respect more about the universe.

自備物品

Layers - more than you think. Sweater, jacket, scarf, hat - for a variety of weather conditions.

Rain gear - pants, jacket and hat. This will enable us to go out in light rain conditions.
