Perfect for fall weather and "leaf peeping!" Let's do a "pub paddle!" Meet near downtown Asheville's River Arts District, where we will provide canoes, easy logistics, good vibes, and access to the best beer in Beer City! Canoe on a navigable but adventurous section of the French Broad River, one of the oldest rivers on the planet. What you'll see: We'll paddle by (and stop at) lots of awesome sites, including some of Asheville's best breweries and funky riverside bars, as well as great eating spots and art galleries. Depending on the time of year, we may see otters, heron, friendly ducks, and colorful fish. This river is gorgeous year-round, with stunning mountain views. If it’s hot out, pack a bathing suit to jump in and swim! We'll take out at multiple breweries/bars. We love this river, and we're so excited to show you around!
Will And Marian
I'm Will, and I was born and raised in Asheville and have been canoeing on the French Broad River and its tributaries for as long as I can remember. All I want to do is share the experience of this natural beauty with others! Along with my wife Marian and a group of lifelong friends, we've put together a river-loving team of guides! We're all well-versed in river safety and know all the nearest put-ins and take-outs. Most importantly, we love to have fun! If you love adventure, delicious craft beer, and great views of Asheville, wildlife, and the wonderful mountains, this is it!
Canoes, paddles, dry bag Life jackets (PFDs)
We are heading down the river! We'll start South of Asheville and head North through the River Arts District, past lots of great scenery, and finally to the Asheville downtown area where we can stop at any one of the many breweries/bars near the river. This is our favorite place on the planet. Breathtaking views, friendly people, awesome wildlife, cold beer!
